Max’s Deli. A family tradition.

On the way up North to see a show in Wisconsin, I stopped by Max’s Deli (191 Skokie Valley Rd., Highland Park) in Highland Park. An institution in the area, Max’s has been serving Jewish Deli for decades.

The meal begins with excellent dill pickles done in house and a classic deli bread basket.

I was looking to keep it light so I ordered a simple roast turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, deli mustard and mayo.

So simple yet so satisfying. Fresh roasted turkey was tender and flavorful.
My buddy went with their lox platter which would have been my second
choice. Call it a day.
