Yeah. This one is intense. Salt n’ Pepper is a straight forward diner for the most part. Friendly solid service with all the classic items from pancakes to omelets to club sandwiches and burgers. There is, however, one item on the menu you will NOT find at any other diner – I promise.
I present the Extreme Cheesy Cheddar Cheeseburger. Wow. They use a special kind of cheddar cheese that when griddled, becomes crispy and…well…just delicious. You can hold this burger up and the cheese will pretty much stand upright, finally, slowly falling limp, delightfully dripping with juice and a bit of grease.
Those who have tackled this burger know what i’m talking about. The beef is well cooked, crisp crust and juicy on the inside. The cheese doesn’t overpower the beef, but complements the earthy savory 80/20 Angus blend. While this maybe isn’t the best burger in the city, it is absolutely one of the more unique burger experiences. Worth a try at least once folks. Just once.
Remember to tell ’em Hungry Hungry sent ya.
I’m hungry. Let’s eat!
