The world famous Boudin Bakery takes its sourdough seriously. In business for generations, the bakery is located right on the water and allows visitors to see the process of making their incredible bread.
We ordered their clam chowder served in a sourdough bread bowl. I knew the bread would be out of this world – and it was absolutely, without a doubt, the best sourdough I’ve tasted.
So much character in both the tangy yeasty flavor as well as the crispy crusty outside and super soft airy yet dense inside. I was surprised a bit at how good the soup was. The chowder had large chunks of clam and wasn’t too heavy. Great way to start the day and a perfect snack for two to share. I like when touristy destinations prove themselves on the quality of their product as well ad being a landmark.
I’m hungry. Lets eat!
