Bang Bang Pie Shop. Lovin’ from Da oven.

Beautiful Saturday in the neighborhood!!  Too bad I have to work.
But there’s always time for a quick walk with my lady before dealing with NATO traffic.

We heard of Bang Bang Pie Shop (2051 N. California Ave.) just North of Armitage so we stopped in for a bite or two – literally. They serve three different pies a day and biscuits. Everything is all natural and small batch production.

Pie was too much on this 90 degree day so we split a biscuit. Great call. It was one of the tastiest biscuit bites for me, including those I’ve sampled in Charleston – and at $2.50 so you’d hope so. Served warm they were ample in size, yeasty and flavorful. Multiple homemade butters and jams are provided for furthering your biscuit experience.  In the end it was worth the stop.

We will DEFINITELY be back for the pie…
